Tell your darling – Clementine is a sativa-dominant hybrid that produces an energetic high that can also be mellow and laid back, and has a sweet citrus flavor and aroma that makes it one of the more delightful strains to smoke. With parentage including Lemon Skunk and the cannabis fan favorite Tangie, Clementine is a great example of a potent strain that proves that you don’t have to forego flavor and aroma for potency – or vice versa.

Clementine is one of the most popular strains crafted by the growers at California’s Crockett Family Farms, the same growers who gave the world Tangie.
The growers at Crockett Family Farms describe Clementine as a 70% sativa / 30% indica cross of Lemon Skunk and Tangie. The growers said that they created Clementine by taking a Lemon Skunk phenotype that won 1st place at the 2014 Emerald Cup (out of a field of 257 strains) “and cross[ing] it with our famous Tangie to create this overloaded terpene variety.” They say that growers should “expect large yields with an array of citrus flavors.”
Once Crockett Family Farms had their first harvest, the awards were quick to follow, including the first place Best Sativa award at the Blazers Cup 2015, and a string of awards for concentrates. That’s perhaps no surprise, Clementine boasts a delightful sweet citrus flavor and aroma that can make it one of the tastiest strains for concentrates – and just in general.
Clementine weed is known for producing a cerebral, energizing high that is followed by a very chill, relaxing sensation across the body. Because it’s an upbeat strain, Clementine is often described as a good early in the day strain, much like a cup of fresh orange juice in the morning.

Clementine growing tips
Crockett Family Farms says growers can expect high yields with Clementine, and that the strain should be ready to harvest in 8-9 weeks.
The strain can be grown both indoors and outside, though it requires a rather humid and warm climate. Two things to keep in mind with Clemetine – it grows tall and can be a very pungent strain. Make sure to have good ventilation in place and practice trimming and pruning to keep the height under control.
Other than the height and smell though, Clementine is considered a rather easy strain to grow, which rewards growers with a sizable yield.

Clementine’s parent strain Tangie is by all means a cannabis star in its own right, and according to Crockett Family Farms, it is “the multiple award-winning citrusy sensation that gave Crockett the nickname “Tangie Man” and put us on the map!”
A cross of California Orange and Skunk, Tangie is known for producing very resinous flowers with powerful citrus and tangerine aromas. Also, like Clementine, it is a favored strain for the production of concentrates.
