National Association of Cannabis Businesses

About

The NACB, or National Association of Cannabis Businesses, is “the badge of honor for responsible cannabis businesses” according to its website. Companies applying for the NACB compliance badge will have to pass its 28 point vetting process, provining themselves as “responsible” “trustworthy” and “compliant.” The idea behind the organization is to create a uniform industry standard for the rapidly growing $10B industry that remains largely unchecked. The National Association of Cannabis Businesses promises it “takes input from government” and checks compliance on factors ranging from indoor cultivation methods to cannabis packaging and labeling, to eCommerce cyber security. NACB membership and badges do come with a cost – tiers range from $1,000-$10,000 annually, and members must have a licensed cannabis business to apply. NACB members gain access not just to the coveted badge, but to supplier partner lists, membership discounts, and potential business partner intros as well.
