Dr. Arno Hazekamp

Dr. Arno Hazekamp was the first PhD to officially study the legal medicinal use of cannabis in Europe. His PhD thesis (2007) was focused on the medical properties of cannabis, and the practical problems that need to be fixed so it can become part of modern medicine. Since 2003, Arno has been involved in the Dutch national medicinal cannabis program as a specialist in quality control, administration forms, and clinical trial design. Currently, Arno works as an independent consultant for the cannabis industry worldwide. He has published over 30 peer reviewed papers on cannabis and cannabinoids and frequently appears in the media where he critically discusses the highs and lows of international cannabis developments.
