Delta-9 gummies are edibles that contain THC. While there are multiple forms of THC, (delta-8, delta-9, and delta-10), delta-9 THC is the primary form that appears naturally in the cannabis plant, and is the form of THC you’re likely already familiar with.
Are delta-9 THC gummies legal in the US?

The Farm Bill of 2018 states that products must not be more than 0.3% THC by dry weight, so there’s a few ways for manufacturers to work with this.
- Some gummies are large, so the ratio of THC is lower compared to the overall weight. So a gummy made from 2 grams of ingredients could contain ~6mg THC and be federally compliant
- Some gummies have high levels of CBD compared to their THC, so you’re able to get a noticeable dosage of THC while the products remain compliant with federal law and can be marketed as high CBD products. Keep in mind the presence of CBD will modify the high.
- Like delta-8, delta-9 THC can also be made from CBD. Some argue that, because the Farm Bill legalized non-THC molecules from hemp, the delta-9 THC made from CBD in a lab is technically legal also.
Do delta-9 gummies get you high?
Yes, delta-9 gummies will get you high. THC is both psychoactive and impairing, and consuming one of these gummies can definitely deliver enough THC to your system to make you feel it.
