Beginning this week, the Whole Plant Expo will take a deep dive into endocannabinology and the use of cannabinoids for medicine, health and wellness, with more than 100 expert speakers taking part across a seven-track conference program.
The 61-day conference will be entirely online, bringing the world of cannabinoids into living rooms, offices — and home offices — across the world, with content that is specially curated for specific audiences, including: patients and caregivers, medical professionals, researchers, business, and industry professionals.
Whole Plant Access for Autism is also producing a conference on cannabinoids and autism as a separately ticketed event to the Whole Plant Expo conference. That event will be kicked off by medical cannabis expert Dr. Bonni Goldstwein, the medical director of Canna-Centers Wellness and Education. Goldstein is also a medical consultant to Weedmaps.com and a Member of the International Association of Cannabis as Medicine, the International Cannabinoid Research Society, and the Society of Cannabis Clinicians.
Each track program will be introduced by a different big name from the cannabis world, including the patients and caregivers section, featuring a keynote address from former NFL Defensive End and Super Bowl XXXIII champion Marvin Washingotn, the co-founder of Athletes for CARE and director on the board of CBD company Isodiol.
Other big names include Dr. Ethan Russo, Dr. Janice Knox, MD, the CEO and Co-Founder of American Cannabinoid Clinics, who will launch the medical professionals track program, and Mara Gordon, the founder of Aunt Zelda’s and Zelda Therapeutics, who will kick off the business track.
There will also be a track program about the American Journal of Endocannabinoid Medicine (AJEM), which will feature Dr. Jahan Marcu, PhD, the Editor in Chief of AJEM.
The event will include several dozen live discussions covering a wide range of subjects in the world of cannabinoids, with presentations titled “Anatomy of a Cannabis Nurse,” “Cannabinoids for Sexual Health and Fun,” “Cannabis is Food — A Look at the Nutritional Value and Applications,” “Veterinary Insights on Cannabinoids for Pets,” “Cannabis Therapy at School,” and “Cannabis Health Equity,” to name a few.
The event will also host two virtual “exhibit halls,” the Whole Plant Expo Exhibit hall and the Nonprofits Pavilion. The former will include seven exhibit zones including CBD and cannabinoid products, software and apps, testing equipment and labs, cultivation products and services, packaging, branding and marketing, professional services, and extraction and manufacturing. It will also include a consumer expos where attendees can purchase CBD and other cannabinoid products from several leading companies.
The Nonprofits Pavilion is focused on helping registered nonprofits recruit new members and activists and boost their fundraising efforts, including through a silent auction. Some of the participants in the pavilion include the American Academy of Cannabinoid Medicine, Athletes for Care, Cannabis Healthy Equality Movement, Minority Cannabis Business Association, and Whole Pant Access for Autism.
The conference will run from October 1st to November 30th, with tickets ranging from $29 for patients and caregivers to $179 for professionals. They can be purchased here.
