Ted Danson to feature The Cannigma on CNBC show ‘Advancements’

As the cannabis industry continues to expand at a speed and scope that would have been unthinkable just a decade ago, what role will legislation and education play in ensuring the best possible future for cannabis and cannabis consumers? On Saturday, April 24th, CNBC’s “Advancements with Ted Danson” will air a special segment on The Cannigma, and the role of science-based publishing in the future of cannabis.

“Education is going to be crucial when it comes to the cannabis industry expanding,” The Cannigma CEO Elana Goldberg says in the episode.

“If lawmakers properly understand what we now know from cannabis research about the plant, they are going to be able to make the right laws which are going to help cannabis businesses really thrive,” Goldberg says.

Regulatory reform will mean “researchers are going to be able to look into the myriad uses for the plant, healthcare providers will have all of the information they need to treat their patients well,” Goldberg states.

The segment also features Orit Stolar, cannabis researcher and senior pediatric neurologist at the Autism Center at Israel’s Assaf HaRofeh Medical Center, who shared insights on the endocannabinoid system and how cannabis works. In addition, Perry Davidson, the CEO of Israeli medical vaporizer developer Syqe, dives into the importance of cannabis research and education.

The segment also takes a closer look at how cannabis prohibition and the stigmas around cannabis have harmed otherwise law-abiding citizens, and have made it much harder for patients to access the medicine they need.

In addition, members of the Cannigma editorial staff discuss how education can help cannabis consumers better understand the plant, and why explaining how the plant works is necessary to give them the tools to make the right choices.

“Advancements” has aired 28 episodes since it debuted in 1998. The program “covers a vast number of industries and economies, featuring the state-of-the-art technologies and solutions dedicated to shaping, molding, and transforming our world.”

Past episodes have covered a wide variety of innovations, including AI-driven devices, agg tech, blockchain and crypto currency, and digital trends in regenerative medicine, among others.

After airing on CNBC, Saturday’s episode will be available for streaming on Amazon Prime.
