CannX cannabis conference returns in-person to Tel Aviv

For nearly two years, the medical cannabis industry has waited, getting on Zoom calls, screenshares, and virtual happy hours. But now, the wait is over: CannX is back, in-person, in Tel Aviv.

On March 14 – 15, the foremost experts in the medical cannabis world will gather together for some of the best educational sessions and networking opportunities in the industry. The sixth annual CannX is the first in-person event since 2019.

Together with partners Shizim and Cann10, CannX gathers together the foremost experts on medical cannabis across science, business, and agriculture. Thought leaders, scientists, clinicians, investors, policymakers, and business owners gather together in a global meeting of the minds to share their knowledge and advance the possibilities of medical cannabis.

“We look forward to welcoming you in-person to CannX 2022 – for what is sure to be an outstanding event!” said Dr. David (Dedi) Meiri, one of the event organizers, who is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Biology at the Technion Israel Institute of Technology.

With such a gathering of incredible minds, it can be hard to know where to start. Luckily attendees are sorted into one of two tracks to make sessions easier; scientific or industry and agriculture.

Both tracks bring together industry experts to explore new innovations, disruptions, and breakthroughs set to transform the medical cannabis landscape. Topics include:

Cannabinoids and Neurological Conditions
Emerging European Markets
Standardizing Cannabis Cultivation
Developing Evidence-Based Curriculum
Cannabis Trends

There is also an opportunity for researchers to unveil original studies in a rapid-fire format.

In addition to the track-specific talks, attendees can also enjoy a fireside chat with Prof. Raphael Mechoulam, the father of cannabis research, and the keynote presentation, given by Dr. Staci Gruber from McLean Hospital.

This year’s keynote is called Clarifying the Cognitive and Clinical Impact of Medical Cannabis and explores the evidence behind the healing powers of cannabis.

The scientific track is accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME), and participants can receive up to 11 credits towards their Continuing Medical Education and Continuous Professional Development (CME/CPD) accreditation.

Returning to an in-person conference format is exciting not just for the attendees, but the organizers too.
“We are very much excited to announce that CannX 2022 will be held in-person,” said Yossi Bornstein, event organizer. “Having gone through the various restrictions due to the COVID pandemic, CannX 2022 will provide a unique opportunity to gather once again as a community and to meet each other in-person in the beautiful city of Tel Aviv.”
