‘Prohibition partners live’ goes virtual this november

In a time of great uncertainty, and economic and social upheaval, what is the future of cannabis, and can it help all of us pull ourselves back up from what this past year has wrought?

That’s the big question hovering over “Prohibition Partners Live: 2020,” which will feature more than 1,500 delegates from across the globe, brought together virtually on November 17-20th for a series of discussions and networking on the future of cannabis and psychedelics.

This year’s Prohibition Partners Live will be split across four key tracks: Cannabis Europa, which will cover the future of cannabis in Europe, Cannabis Americana, a look at how the vanguard markets for global marijuana are pursuing growth and planning for the future, Cannabis Oceania, which will cover developments involving marijuana in Australia and the Pacific, and PSYCH, a unique look at the commercial potential of legal psychedelics, and how they can advance mental health treatment.

“We believe that cannabis has the power to change the world for the better and in such a rapidly moving industry which requires constant education, regulatory clarity and international collaboration, and Prohibition Partners LIVE offers the building blocks for this incredible community,” Stephen Murphy, Managing Director of Prohibition Partners said in a press release ahead of the conference.

The first day of the conference, “Science and Research,” will cover scientific advancements in cannabis and psychedelics, including in sustainable farming, personalized medicine, Synthetic vs. Organic CBD, AI, and more.

The next day, “Policy and Reform,” will look at policy and political developments involving cannabis and psychedelics in New Zealand, India, the United Kingdom, and the European Union, among others.

“Business and Investment” will be held on November 19th, and will look at the potential of cannabis markets in China and across Asia, as well as how “cannabis is disrupting the mainstream and identifying key commercial opportunities across the supply chain,” according to Prohibition Partners.

The final day, “Culture and Innovation,” will look at innovators and icons in cannabis culture, and how they’re positioning themselves to thrive as the cannabis market emerges from 2020.

As Prohibition Partners puts it, despite the number of legal cannabis markets in the world increasing from 10 to 50 since 2017, “there is a lot of work to be done, the market is still rife with misinformation and a lack of global data outdated regulations has limited growth.”

CEO of The Cannigma, Elana Goldberg, will moderate the panel “THC under the Microscope.” Other cannabis experts who will seek to bring their insights to this global cannabis discussion include big names including former NBA player and non-executive director of MedMen Al Harrington, Co-founder and Chief Product Officer of Papa & Barkley Guy Rocourt, Political Director of NORML Justin Strekal, Founder of Women Empowered in Cannabis Kyra Reed, Co-Founder, CEO and Editor-in-Chief of Green Market Report Debra Borchardt, as well as a host of journalists, legal and political experts.
